Detroit People Mover
The Detroit People Mover (DPM) is an electrically powered, automated light rail network that serves downtown Detroit and the surrounding neighborhoods. It opened in 1987 as part of the city’s Downtown Loop project and is owned and operated by the City of Detroit.
The system has thirteen stations located along a 2.94-mile loop that connects major points within downtown Detroit, including popular attractions such as Grand Circus Park, Comerica Park, Greektown, Cobo Center, and Hart Plaza.
