Eastern Market

Eastern Market is a historic market district located in Detroit, Michigan. It has been in operation since 1891 and is currently the largest historic public market district in the United States. Eastern Market offers fresh produce, flowers, meats, spices, baked goods, crafts and more from over 150 vendors every Saturday and Sunday during the outdoor season.

The seasonal outdoor farmers markets are held on Saturdays (6am to 4pm) and Sundays (9am to 3pm). During the winter months there will be an indoor farmers market that operates inside Shed 5 of Eastern Market’s main building.

The area around Eastern Market also offers a variety of other attractions including specialty shops, entertainment venues and restaurants.
